ADMISSION EXAMS LATEST


ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

 

DATE:            Tuesday 10th March, 2015

 

We have gathered enough over the past few years and the months, and we are ready to train people in all aspects of filmmaking. Tomorrow we will test our present crew and additional crew and admit qualified candidates for a 6 weeks training [subject to additional weeks] by professionals and great materials in all aspects of Movie Production.

We have therefore make versatility a very unique feature of our Academy in which students will know about more than one field of filmmaking.

The departments are:

Cinematography, lighting and sound

Under this department, you will learn about how to handle camera shots, how to handle cameras, basic camera tutorials, drawing a cinematographic note on movie making

How to light a movie set, basic lighting tips and also sound and foley management

ARTS , SET DESIGN AND LOCATION

You will be taught about how to be artistic in movie making, how to get it done like professionals, designing set, constructing models, features of a good set, search and management of locations

COSTUME, MAKEUP AND PROPS

you will be taught tailoring, making costumes and designing costumes, make up and basic makeup skills, and how to manage movie properties

DISTRIBUTION, MARKETING AND PUBLICITY

You will be taught the business part of movie making, distribution processes, how to market movies and various publicity skills

SCREENPLAY, DIRECTING, PRODUCTION DESIGN, ACTING

Under this department, you will learn how to write screenplays from a script, basic directing tips, how to design a production and basic skills and knowledge of acting

 

You are advised to pick any of these 5 departments before coming for the exams and learn fundamental things about the department you pick

 

ON THE EXAMS

The question contains

1.      50 multiple choice questions from your material – [50 marks]

2.      A session one with questions about your chosen department – [60 mark]

3.      A session two on questions from your manual – [50 marks]

4.      A project topic  - [40 marks]

These amount to 200 marks but will be summed up to 100. The cut off mark for admission is 55.

INSTRUCTIONS

1.      Please come with an HB pencil and a blue or black pen.

2.      You can also come with a slab to place your question paper and answer sheet

3.      All phones should be switched off during the examination

4.      And any form of cheating would disqualify the candidate

5.      Please obey the instructions from our supervisors

6.      Other instructions will be communicated to you at the exam venue

7.      Exam venue and time will be communicated to you via SMS before the day before exams run out

8.      Mark scheme will be available a day after exams
